MAfestival Bruges is one of world's most famous early music festivals. It focuses on the historical informed practice of early music and is currently leading in terms of renewing and extending the concept. From July 31 till August 9, MAfestival 2015 explores musical expressions of vanitas in both meanings of the word: vanity and transience.

From Saturday August 1 till Friday August 7, MAfestival Bruges organizes the Fringe series. Together with Utrecht Early Music Festival promising young ensembles are selected to present themselves to an international audience of connoisseurs . The concerts are held in the Provincial Court and are free to the public. This year the series will have a surprising prelude with a pop- up concert on Thursday July 30.
